Hitman: Codename 47 is the first canonical entry in the Hitman series of video games. Developed by IO Interactive and Eidos Interactive, in 2000 for Windows, it remains the only PC-exclusive Hitman game.

The story centers on Mr. 47, a bald test subject branded with a barcode tattoed on his head, who is rigorously trained in methods of murder. Upon escaping from a test facility, 47 is hired by the Agency, a European contract killing organization. His mission takes him to several locations—China, Colombia, Hungary, and the Netherlands—to assassinate wealthy and well-protected criminals.

It has sold more than 600,000 copies to date .

Hitman 2 : Silent Assassin

Third-person action shooter from Io Interactive, also released on consoles. Players assume the role of "47," a retired hitman who was once considered the best in his particular field. The title opens up as 47 is living peacefully in Sicily and trying to cope with some of the horrible atrocities he committed in his dark, mysterious past. Shortly after attending confession, 47 learns that his priest and mentor has been kidnapped by the mafia, and so he decides to temporarily come out of retirement to get him back. Carnage, naturally, ensues. The game jettisons players through 20 missions that span across such areas as Sicily, Japan, St. Petersburg, India and even Malaysia.

Hitman 3 : Contracts

Now, this is a game for addicted First-Person Shooters. Trailing the steps of Doom, Duke Nukem, and other olden days classics, Hitman 3 stepped up on its graphics, storyline, and gameplay.

It's graphics are pleasing to watch and its compatible with most graphic processors.

This is a game you won't forget in a hurry (you can't finish it in a hurry either, except you cheat). I recommend it to those who love the shooting genre.
